Green at 38th

The City is planning to create an urban plaza suitable for community events at the Green at 38 property (grass area just south of Stevens Elementary). Project consultants have developed two design concepts:

Johnson Park Trailhead / Clear Creek Trail Construction

The construction project will improve rider safety, ADA accessibility, fire access, maintenance operations, and parking. Project includes:

  • Johnson Park Trailhead parking lot improvements
  • realigning two 90 degree turns on the trail
  • rebuilding a portion of the trail that crosses the drainage channel in Johnson Park

Construction contract was awarded to Murphy Construction in the amount of $154,645. The Department received a Federal Trail grant which will cover 50% of the cost of the project.

Boyd's Crossing Playground

The new playground features standalone peak rock climber, attached rock climber, arch bridge, croquet climber, summit climber, vertical ladder, bongo plate, ball maze, bubble panel, cork screw slide and straight slide. Playground equipment was supplied by Landscape Structures. Demo and installation was completed by Rocky Mountain Recreation.

New Playground at Boyd's Crossing

Panorama Park Irrigation

A new irrigation system was installed to improve water use efficiency, water coverage and water delivery. Irrigation can be controlled and adjusted remotely via mobile devices reducing maintenance time.
