NEW! Acupuncture Now Available

Andrew Parks, Licensed Colorado Acupunturist working with a client

Andrew grew up in Colorado, where he fell in love with the outdoor lifestyle. His love of nature led to years of environmental work locally and in New Zealand. During that time, Andrew saw first-hand the healing power nature had on himself and others. Eventually his focus shifted from environmental protection and restoration to nature’s ability to heal.

That shift lead Andrew to Metropolitan State University of Denver where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Holistic Medicine. After graduating, Andrew spent six years as an herbal medicinary manager at a wellness clinic in Portland, Oregon. He worked closely with the owner of the clinic and fell in love with Chinese medicine. While at the clinic, Andrew enrolled at the National University of Natural Medicine. He spent four years there studying and treating patients as part of earning his Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. While in school Andrew studied herbal formulas, qigong and taiji, acupuncture and all the accompanying supplemental therapies that go with it. Upon graduation, Andrew enrolled in an extensive two-year herbal training program through The Institute of Classical East Asian Medicine.

Andrew returned to Colorado in the summer of 2019 and is thoroughly enjoying living and working in the Wheat Ridge community. He founded Truing Wellness in the fall of 2019 and is working with the City’s Wellness Outreach Campaign to further his reach to provide holistic health. He is thrilled to use his love of the outdoors and the journey it led him on to offer holistic health at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center.
