Your Parks & Recreation team has been working hard behind the scenes, determining the best way to serve the Wheat Ridge community during this time of uncertainty. The following information was updated on 5/13/20.
FacilitiesWe do not have an opening date for public use of our recreation facilities at this time, but will continue to evaluate and communicate as we have more information.
Anderson Pool will not open Memorial Day weekend as originally planned. A decision about whether or not the pool will open later in the summer for a partial season will be made late May/early June - stay tuned.
RentalsAll facility, park and field rentals are cancelled through June. Stay tuned to find out if rentals will become available again later this summer.
Summer GuideWe did not produce a summer guide this year due to the inability to offer many of our summer programs. Get timely updates on all things Parks & Rec by signing up for our emails at www.rootedinfun.com/getmyguide
Preschool & Summer CampWe have prioritized childcare as a community need that we can serve and and are pleased to be able to offer full-day preschool and summer camp beginning June 1st under strict new guidelines. Staff are working closely with state licensing to implement new policies and protocols to maintain the safest environment possible for children enrolled. These programs will be housed at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, which remains closed to public use and all other programs at this time.

Parks, Trails & Open SpacesOur parks and trails remain open with the following restrictions:
Essential staff continue working at our parks and facilities to maintain these spaces. Staff are complying with public health guidelines regarding staff reductions and alternating shifts, and are practicing social distancing and hygiene protocols while working.
