Cartoon decpiction of a Christmas tree being dropped into a recycling bin

Wheat Ridge Parks and Recreation offers a free Christmas tree recycling program for Wheat Ridge residents now through the mid-February! Drop-off sites are open daily from sunrise until sunset at the following parks:

Please remove EVERYTHING (ornaments, lights, ribbon, tinsel, nails, screws, wire, tree stands, bags, etc.) from your tree before dropping it off. Yard waste and other debris will not be accepted.

Trees are chipped into mulch that's used in planter beds and around trees in City parks. Free mulch is also available to Wheat Ridge residents year round at Prospect Park. Last year, more than 1500 Christmas trees were recycled into mulch!
