TreeCycle!

Cartoon decpiction of a Christmas tree being dropped into a recycling bin

Free Christmas tree recycling is available now through the end of February! Drop-off sites are open daily from sunrise until sunset at the following park locations:

Prospect Park · 11300 W 44th Ave
(south of the tennis courts)

Panorama Park · W 33rd Ave & Fenton St

Signs will be posted at both locations to help you find the drop-off site within each park.

Please remove EVERYTHING (ornaments, lights, ribbon, tinsel, nails, screws, wire, tree stands, bags, etc.) from your tree before dropping it off.

Trees are chipped into mulch that is used in planter beds and around trees in City parks. Free mulch is also available to Wheat Ridge residents year round at Prospect Park. Last year, more than 1500 Christmas tree were recycled into mulch!

This service is available to individual residents only and may not be used for disposal of trees sold by area vendors.
