Active Adult Center

The Active Adult Center serves the recreational and education needs of Wheat Ridge area adults and seniors. Discover new experiences, connect with neighbors, and join in the fun!

In accordance with the Safer at Home order which identifies “vulnerable individuals” as those with compromised immune systems as well as those over the age of 65, the Active Adult Center remains closed.  Although we realize that age does not necessarily determine the status of health, the last thing that we want to do, is contribute to a rise in the number of COVID-19 positive cases.

You may notice that a great deal of content has been removed from this Guide.  This is intentional as we strive to communicate clearly and provide as much accurate information as possible.  As the situation evolves, and hopefully improves, we will update the Guide online.

We want you to know that our staff is working hard to provide as many opportunities as we can to connect with you and to connect you with one another.  We will continue these connections by:

·       Offering a diverse selection of Virtual classes through ZOOM

·       Emailing our AAC Newsletter

·       Making Community Care Calls

If you would like to receive our Newsletter by E-mail, or if you would like to receive a Community Care Call, please leave us a voice mail or send us an email.  You can leave us a message at:  303-205-7500 or send an email to Cindy at:  cpeterson@ci.wheatridge.co.us

We are thrilled to share a bit of GOOD news with you!  We are now offering In-Person Outdoor Fitness classes with many of your favorite instructors in our beautiful parks!   We are also offering our Ramblers program with a few modifications.  Classes begin as early as September 8th and will require advanced registration.  Please explore the next few pages to discover all the details.

We miss seeing your beautiful faces, sharing a laugh and watching you connect with your friends.  We look forward to the day that we can be together again!

Thank you all for your continued patience and support. Our number one priority is your safety as well as the safety of our team members.

With Gratitude & Hope,
