The Parks and Recreation Department, with support from the Colorado Parks and Recreation Association, Playcore, and GameTime, replaced the playgrounds at Apel-Bacher and Creekside Parks with brand new structures that focus on overall physical fitness while imploring six essential elements of play. The Department distributed a public survey and the results informed the playground designs and specific amenities.
